Program Goals
The goal of brain injury rehabilitation is to re-establish effective intellectual and social function both by strengthening the impaired abilities and by developing compensatory strategies for areas of deficit that remain. Successful rehabilitation requires the coordinated efforts of a number of therapeutic modalities. HIRRS offers a wide variety of individual and group therapies which emphasize the development of "higher level" skills necessary for success in school, on the job and in dealing with others.
